California State Parks and the Weaverville Joss House Association are co-sponsoring a Chinese New Year party to welcome the year of the Ox into Northern California. Students from the White TIger Kenpo Studio will preform the Lion Dance at the park and hot tea and fortune cookies will be provided by the Weaverville Joss House Association. This is a free event, it begins at 11a.m. in front of the 1874 Chinese Taoist Temple on February the 14th. It’s a great way to get a head start on your Valentines Day date.
