Visit Mossbrae Falls

Monday, April 13th, 2009

This is a great time of year for visiting waterfalls! Mossbrae Falls is located in the city of Dunsmuir. At 50 feet high, it is a beautiful waterfall cascading over a hillside of brilliant green plants, into the pristine Sacramento River. Just a short walk from the neighborhoods of Dunsmuir, Mossbrae Falls is a must see for visitors to the beautiful Dunsmuir river canyon.

Directions to the waterfall: Take I-5 exit at Dunsmuir Avenue to Scarlett way, go down the hill, cross bridge and park. It will be approximately a 40 minute walk (one mile to railroad bridge) north along the railroad tracks and the Sacramento River. Follow trail along train tracks through trees to river and the Falls.
