Mother’s Day Ideas:The Weston House and Wild Horses

Thursday, April 16th, 2009

A visit to the Wild Horse Sanctuary to experience the trail and the magic of these horses running free on 5,000 acres of lush lava rock-strewn mountain meadow and forest land. It is an out of the ordinary experience, sure to inspire and unite friends who are encounter this place together. Fifteen minutes away is the cozy Weston House B&B, located high up on one of Lassen’s volcanic ridges. The Weston House looks down on the Wild Horse Sanctuary. Sitting out on the porch, or from the window view of your rooms, you and your friends, mothers, or grandmothers will be able to reflect on your journey and make plans for more adventures. Also near by is the famous Burney Falls, at Burney McArthur State Park. This waterfall was once referred to as the 8th wonder of the world.
