Volunteer at the Farm! The Farm Sanctuary that is.

Monday, April 20th, 2009

There are three ways to volunteer at the Farm Sanctuary: participate in a work party day, volunteer while you stay as a guest at the cabin, or participate in an internship. Work party chores and projects are determined according to our greatest and most timely needs. All work party days are devoted to activities that help with operation of the sanctuaries, contribute to the success of education and visitor programs, and further the campaign and fundraising efforts on behalf of farm animals. Farm chores and projects may include activities such as shelter maintenance and beautification (i.e., cleaning, raking, painting, or gardening) or administrative activities like stuffing envelopes. Work party chores are not glamorous and may be physically demanding and/or repetitious; however, every task assists with carrying out their daily mission of rescuing, protecting and caring for farm animals in need. No over night accommodations are available except for the internship programs. There is a B&B close by that they can recommend for you to stay while you volunteer. Though, farm visitors are able to stay over night in the Country Cabin, and volunteer on the farm while doing so.FarmSanctuary.org
