Fall Colors are Beautiful In Northern California Right Now

Monday, October 27th, 2008

Fall Colors are at looking great in the Shasta Cascade Region of Northern California right now. Timing of the color change depends a lot on the weather and when things start to cool down. Because of the diversity of elevation and climate throughout the region, and there are colors changing at different rates all over. Plumas County has been nationally recognized for the beauty of its seasonal change. Check out their Bloom Blog for day to day updates. Another great area right now is the back road drive from Adin to Susanville through the Modoc National Forest. Also the Cedar Pass over the Warner Mountains is a fantastic drive right now, with golds, oranges, and reds. Mt. Shasta is also looking spectacular with Mountain Ash, Birch, Oaks, and Maples putting on a show. And as of the end of last week, the foliage in McArthur Burney State Park is at it’s peak! Get some yummy hot drinks and your sweaters and go see the colors!
